The Romanian-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AHK Romania) organizes a Romanian-German collaboration project on topic “Waste Management and Recycling in Romania”.
The initiative for this Romanian-German collaboration project belongs to the German Federal Ministry of Environment, Climate Protection and Nuclear Safety, being financed within the export initiative “Environment Technologies”.
The project is firstly addressed to the Romanian local public authorities responsible for implementing waste management integrated systems, but also to the German and Romanian companies interested in developing bilateral relations in the area of environmental infrastructure. The main objective consists in facilitating the experience exchange between Romanian and German experts and also in acting as a stimulus for the improvement of the current situation in Romania trough know-how transfer and specific knowledge.
Within the project the Romanian-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry will organize three workshops and a specialized conference between September 2018 and August 2019. Te workshops will take place in Iași, Timișoara and Cluj-Napoca, Bucharest hosting the final conference.
First workshop “The Challenges of Waste Management in Romania” will take place in Iași on 27th September 2018 at Unirea Hotel, Mezanin Room, between 09:00 and 14:00, in cooperation with the County Council Iași.
Trough this project we aim to sustain the transformation of Romania into a viable circular economy fueled by specific information, consultancy and German contacts from the area of environmental services and technologies.
