The German-Romanian chamber of commerce (AHK Romania) was founded in 2002 as a bilateral chamber of commerce in response to the continuously growing economic ties between Germany and Romania. Since its foundation AHK Romania was able to create a large and important network of German and Romanian companies, which not only strengthens intercompany collaboration but also supports the exchange of experiences and crucial information.
Over 600 German and Romanian companies have become members and have put their trust in AHK Romania, which has become widely known for providing professional services. These are specifically designed for small and medium-sized businesses. As a membership organization and official representative of the German economy in Romania the chamber represents the interests of its members in relation to the official authorities in both countries, thus helping to deepen and nurture the bilateral economic ties between Romania and Germany.
